Another week, and wouldn’t you know it? Another SEC team went an entire game without grabbing the jersey of a South Carolina defender.
This is the fourth straight SEC game where Carolina’s opponent wasn’t called for holding.
It was the first SEC game of the year the Gamecocks were called for one (on a punt).
Since the start of last season, SEC teams have been called for three holding penalties against SC, and just one of them came while the Gamecocks were on defense.
SC didn’t need any calls to go their way in this game, though, as they crushed the Bulldogs 35-7.
It’s an incredible stat that only Garnet and Cocky seems to be keeping track of, and we’ll be keeping track of it all year.
