If people tune into one thing when they watch ESPN’s College GameDay, it’s Lee Corso’s famous headgear prediction. That will certainly be the case when he predicts Saturday nights clash between the Gamecocks and Bulldogs.

But who will Corso pick?

The last time GameDay was in Columbia, he put on the Elephant head and picked Alabama. The Gamecocks shocked the nation and knocked the Crimson Tide off a few hours later.

But, even though he once predicted South Carolina would never win the SEC championship, he has donned Cocky’s headgear to pick the Gamecocks over the Dawgs before.

Carolina fans may never forgive him for making that SEC championship statement, but Steve Spurrier has asked supporters of the Garnet and Black to let it go recently.

So who will Corso pick tomorrow morning?

He doesn’t mind irking the home crowd, but he does enjoy hearing them explode with joy when he puts their team’s headgear on.

There aren’t many stats this year when it comes to Corso’s picking or not picking of the Gamecocks, but he’s picked Georgia twice (Missouri and Tennessee) and they’ve won both times.

Based on the comments Spurrier’s made and the promo ESPN’s been running of Corso picking Cocky in his “first ever not-so-fast headgear pick”, I think he’s going to appease the home crowd and go with the Gamecocks.

Something tells me Cocky will be involved either way.
