According to 247Sports, Wisconsin signee Jordan Stevenson has been denied admissions into Wisconsin possibly due to an academic issue. 247Sports sources say that there is rising interest from teams around the country including South Carolina, who plan to reach out to Jordan once he has been released from the Badgers. Along with South Carolina the other SEC teams reportedly interested are Alabama, Florida and Tennessee.

Jordan Stevenson is 5-8, 210 pounds who during his last two years of high school rushed for 4,550 yards and also racking up 45 touchdowns. He was rated as the 30th best overall prospect in his home state of Texas and rated as the countries 17th overall running back.

With South Carolinas backfield already having two solid backs in David Williams and Brandon Wilds, one would think Stevenson would take a red shirt year as a freshman if he was to choose to come to Columbia. There’s no doubting Stevenson is a great steal for whatever program picks him up, and if it so happens the Head Ball Coach snags up Stevenson, Gamecock fans can rest easy knowing our backfield will be one of the best in the Nation.
