South Carolina vs. Vanderbilt: Early Injury Report

facebooktwitterreddit

South Carolina vs. Vanderbilt is Saturday. Who’s going to play? Who might sit this one out? We’ve got you covered.

First, for South Carolina, the health of Mike Davis comes into question once more. Davis had some ankle trouble in the game against Georgia and had to be removed–fortunately Brandon Wilds was there to spell him (and did so quite well) and will 100% get the call if Davis isn’t ready to go come Saturday (Davis is probable right now). Cornerback Brison Williams is also probable for Saturday (forearm). Questionable: OG Cody Waldrop (knee); DEs Blake McClain (foot) and Devin Washington (hamstring); OL Brock Stadnik (knee) and Donell Stanley (wrist); TE Kevin Crosby (foot); and depth WR Matrick Belton.

For Vandy, they enter the game with less wounded players. The only two for now: LB Kyle Woestmann (leg) and Oren Burks. Burks’ injury will keep him out for “a few weeks” according to coach Derek Mason, while a decision on Woestmann will be made closer to game time.

We’ll pass along any updates as we get them closer to gameday, but that’s the situation as it stands now.
