Our countdown to the 2014 college football season continues as just 21 days separate us from kickoff between the South Carolina Gamecocks and Texas A&M Aggies at Williams-Brice Stadium on August 28.
Who wears #21: Andrew Bunch, RS soph. WR
Bunch spent 2012 with Presbyterian College before transferring to South Carolina after the school year ended, then joined the team as a walk-on last August. He’s actually one of a handful of players from out by the Charleston area: OT Brandon Shell and FB Gerald Turner both hail from Goose Creek.
What 21 days means
It means that we’re actually a week away from the launch of the new SEC Network, which is now available to over 87 million homes across the country after a deal was reached with DirecTV and Charter Communications, among other providers. The network crew will be rolling into Columbia for August 28’s Gamecocks/Aggies game.

Carolina only inflicted one loss in this season: a 7-0 loss at Furman. Back in the 20’s, that might not have been that big a deal, but today, a loss like that would be cause for concern. (They did shut out Clemson, 21-0, though.)
