South Carolina Gamecocks Football Countdown: 72 Days

Our countdown to the 2014 college football season continues as just 72 days separate us from kickoff between the South Carolina Gamecocks and Texas A&M Aggies at Williams-Brice Stadium on August 28.

Who wears #72?
No one wears this jersey number this year for South Carolina. The last time this jersey number was occupied was in the 2011 season by Kenny Davis. The 6’3″, 318 pounder played in 11 games in his time at Carolina but saw very limited play time as an offensive guard. Soon after the school year was over, Davis was arrested on third degree criminal sexual conduct charges in June of 2012. Little can be found on him since that time.
