Former South Carolina Gamecocks defensive end Jadeveon Clowney has his share of admirers and critics, just like any other potential top-10 NFL Draft selection.

Today, that truth became evident, as reports have come out that at least one bigwig from the NFC isn’t a fan, dishing on–what else?–his work ethic, or lack thereof:

"“He’s spoiled, and he’s lazy,’ an NFC personnel man told NJ.com. “He’s never worked hard a day in his life, now all of a sudden you’re going to give him a bunch of money and expect him to work hard. I don’t see it.”…“Oh, he’s going to be a high pick,” he continued. “Some team will fall in love with him. But wait and see, just wait and see. I just don’t think you can count on him. I’m betting the under on him.”"

Good point by CBSSports.com’s Ryan Wilson, the one that filed the report, that it could be a smokescreen to get Clowney to slide down far enough so said NFC exec has a shot at him. It probably bears mentioning, with that said, that the St. Louis Rams and the Jacksonvile Jaguars (both NFC teams) pick below the Houston Texans with the 2nd and 3rd selections, respectively, while the Minnesota Vikings (another NFC team) are in the 8th slot. But that’s just mere speculation on our part.
