The Pittsburgh Steelers’ depth chart at wide receiver currently has Markus Wheaton at the WR1 slot, with Antonio Brown at WR2 (and Derek Moye as his backup). That was before Darrius Heyward-Bey signed with the team.

Yes, the Steelers need a wide receiver. And former Gamecocks wideout Bruce Ellington might be their man.

Today, Ellington is in Pittsburgh to visit with the team, a little over a month before the first day of the NFL Draft.

Vereen is the brother of Patriots RB Shane Vereen. Ellington’s cousin, Andre, is a running back with the Arizona Cardinals.

We’ll see if Ellington is fully in the Steelers’ plans. If he is, then he’ll likely go on day 2, as he’s projected to go as early as the third round. Speaking of the Cardinals, our parent site, FanSided.com, is reporting on the news that Ellington is headed to Arizona as well in the coming days.
