It’s the day after South Carolina pro day, and the experts are poring over their Jadeveon Clowney notes and video meticulously, breaking down every piece of footage and every detail they can before May 8. Here, while we don’t have the access the major media has, we’re doing our best to keep you up to date on everything that’s going on around Gamecock Nation.

Let’s give you this morning’s Cock-A-Doodle Clicks:

–More on the Clowney extravaganza, along with OBC’s clarification of comments he made regarding the ongoing “work ethic” talk that’s been buzzing around, as well as where he thinks the Texans might slot Clowney if they select him. (Houston Chronicle) Meanwhile, the Post and Courier in Charleston thinks it’s a done deal that Clowney should be #1.

–As far as the other Gamecocks that participated, Brian King from GwdToday.com made the trip over to Columbia to check out former Greenwood HS standout Kelcy Quarles and came away pretty impressed. Quarles spoke to King afterwards and had high praise for the coaching staff at his former high school.

–Other pro day links: GoGamecocks.com’s video highlights of Connor Shaw, photos from the day (GamecockCentral), and thoughts from another Gamecocks DE.

–Baseball news: GoGamecocks takes a look at the team’s recent flair for the dramatic. “It’s fitting the South Carolina baseball team’s game against Arkansas on Thursday night will be nationally televised on ESPNU,” writes Neil White. “(The) Gamecocks have spent the entire season trying to win an Emmy award for outstanding drama series.”

–In action today: Besides baseball at Arkansas, track is at the Pepsi Florida Relays in Gainesville. High school events begin today while collegiate teams get started tomorrow.
