Jadeveon Clowney has been in the spotlight for the University of South Carolina since his dismanteling blow to Vincent Smith in the Outback Bowl last season.  Not only has Clowney presented himself as a Heisman candidate, All-American, and season award watch list member, but Jadeveon Clowney has found himself tied to rapper Jay-Z.

Earlier this summer Jay-Z began a hot streak of recruiting high-profile athletes to his newly accredited Roc Nation sports management team.  However, speculation is now circling that Jadeveon Clowney and Jay-Z may have violated some NCAA guidelines in a supposed meeting earlier this week.

The University of South Carolina has already announced that Steve Fink, the university’s media director, is investigating the instance very closely with the university’s compliance department.  Per NCAA guidelines, any athlete can meet with an agent and discuss the future and speak freely about plans after an athlete’s final game.  Also, an agent and collegiate athlete are allowed to eat a meal together at any time.  The only way a violation could occur, is if the athlete’s meal is payed for by the agent.

With all facts laid out and an understanding of NCAA guidelines, Clowney has nothing to be worried about at this point.  Obviously if papers were signed or an agreement put into place, that is an entirely different issue.  Yet, no accusation of such is being reported.   At this point, people are looking for a story and more than likely making this out to be more than it really is.  Gamecock fans, look forward to Clowney seeking revenge for this misplaced “issue,” agains the Tar Heels from Chapel Hill on August 29th.
